According to the public notice issued by INEC following the provision of Clause 2(d) of the Regulations and Guidelines for the recall of a member of the National Assembly, House of Assembly of a State or Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (2024), the recall failed to meet the requirements of Section 69 (a) of the Nigerian constitution of 1999 (as amended). INEC indicates in its public notice attached herewith that it does not plan any further action related to the recall petition against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. Out of a total of 474,554 registered voters in the constituency represented by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, only 43.86 percent of the voters, or 208,132 individuals, signed the recall petition submitted to INEC.
