Halloween Celebrations in the United States
Halloween is a popular holiday celebrated in the USA (and many other countries) on October 31st annually. It celebrates the start of Allhallowtide, an ancient period of remembering the dead. The celebration has evolved from an ancient pagan festival to a modern festival of fun and creative dressing celebration by both children and adults. Participants wear costumes that range from scary to outrageous. Children especially love the occasion because of the fun aspect of going house to house to collect candy treats or to special events to enjoy fun events etc.
