The US Senate today voted to confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by a very small margin of (50-48-1). Senator Lisa Murkowski, who had previously indicated that she would vote in the negative withdrew her vote. Senators Collins, Flake and Manchin voted yes despite a lot of public pressure.

The nomination of Kavanaugh has been controversial throughout the process leading to his confirmation vote in the Senate today.
