The United State's DOW industrial average hit a historic milestone of 20,000 today

The DOW industrial stock average hit a historic milestone of 20,000 today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is a price-weighted average of 30 significant stocks traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the NASDAQ.

Since the election of President Trump back in November 2016, the US stock market has been rising steadily up by an impressive 1,667 points to 20,000 today giving him a favorable vote from the market and business community. The average started tracking the most powerful US corporate stocks since 1896, and has provided a broad measure of the market's strength through 22 recessions, 22 presidents, the Great Depression, two market crashes and several rallies, corrections, bull and bear markets.
