Just Hear Me Out: ......The Word "GAY" Did Not Originally Mean Homosexual.......In the the 12th century...The word "GAY" originally meant something to the effect of “joyful”, “carefree”, “full of mirth”, or “bright and showy”.
In the 17th century the word GAY began to be associated with immorality. By 1955, the word GAY had acquired the added definition and reference to homosexual males.
